Websites for small businesses in Johannesburg

Johannesburg is the one city where a customer searching for your trade gets a screen full of options. They are not deciding whether to use a plumber. They are deciding which of eleven to phone, from a list where everyone looks much the same.

So the work is in being specific: the suburbs you actually cover, what you charge to come out, and what you do that the next result does not. Vague wins nothing here, because vague is what everyone else is.

What a website here tends to need

• The suburbs you cover, named. Johannesburg is enormous and "Gauteng and surrounds" tells a customer in Randburg nothing
• What it costs you to come out, because the traffic makes a callout a real decision
• Whether you work after hours, and what that costs
• Proof that means something: registrations, years, reviews, and photographs of jobs in recognisable places
