Who I build for
Websites for small shops and producers
An online shop takes orders and payment while you’re working. You’ll want one when handling them by hand starts costing you sales.
A farm stall, a butchery, somebody making things at home: a shop does three jobs for you. It shows every product with its price, it takes the money, and it keeps count of stock so you stop selling what you’ve run out of.
It earns its keep once orders stop fitting around the rest of your day. You’re answering the same stock question over and over, losing orders in a chat thread, or chasing proof of payment on EFTs. A shop takes that off you, and it pays for itself quickly once it does.
What your website needs
- Photographs of your products, shot in decent light. On a shop, these do the selling
- Prices, and whether they change by weight or by season
- Delivery, collection, or both — and how far you’ll deliver
- Stock that keeps count, so you stop selling what you’ve run out of
- A payment method people already trust — Yoco, Payfast or the one you already use, in your business’s name
