Who I build for
Websites for restaurants and coffee shops
Your menu should be a web page. Not a PDF. Almost certainly not a photograph of a printed one.
A menu as a PDF costs you more customers than anything else on a restaurant website. It downloads instead of opening, it’s hard to read on a phone, and it’s a nuisance to update. It’s also what most visitors came for.
After that it’s the practical things, and those are exactly what people check at half past six on a Friday. Are you open, where do I park, and can I get a table. Hours that are wrong, especially over public holidays, turn people away at the door.
What your website needs
- The menu as a normal page, with prices, that works on a phone
- Your hours, correct, including what happens on public holidays
- Where you are, and where to park
- Whether you take bookings and how — or whether it’s walk-in only
- Photographs of your actual food, taken in your actual light. Your own food, not a picture of somebody else’s burger
