Who I build for

Websites for bakeries and cake makers

You’re selling something people eat with their eyes first. The photos are the website.

For most trades, words do the selling. For a bakery the photographs do it, and everything else gets out of the way. Someone choosing a birthday cake wants to scroll through what you’ve actually made and picture theirs in among it.

The other half is the practical side, and it’s where orders come unstuck. How much notice you need, whether you deliver or they collect, and what a custom order costs against what’s in the case. Put those on the page and you stop answering the same WhatsApp question week after week.

What your website needs

  • A proper gallery of your own cakes, with as many photos as you want to show
  • How much notice you need for a custom order
  • Collection or delivery, and how far you’ll deliver
  • A price range, even a rough one, so an enquiry starts from a price you both already agree on
  • What you can do about allergies and dietary requirements
